Cars, As A Rule, Suck.

So I'm in the middle of a financial meltdown yesterday and I'm doing my damnedest to try to keep good spirits up and I decide that I'll run to the convenience store to grab the wife some chocolate, because she's fairly upset over the whole situation.

Drive to the store, purchase me goods, and walk back out to the car.

Click.

It's not starting. I call my insurance provider, who seems blissfully unaware that my insurance expires in 3 hours because I can't pay my premium, and they send out the roadside assistance monkey, who dutifully tows my car to my local shop.

Cut to this morning, where my local mechanic informs me that the alternator is shot, and that repairs are going to cost $500.

Well, then.

So, just to recap: I've worked 50 hours this week, am stone broke, I have no vehicle, everyone around me is in a terrible mood, and I'm seriously wondering if it isn't time to fake my own death.

Yeah, I should have gone to Vegas.

  1. It's almost 3 months later. I hope your bullshit has turned around for the better.

I went through the same garbage myself recently.
